Morning, neighbors!
Seasonal and a touch cool for the Lower Russian River and Sonoma County today. North Bay valleys started in the lower to middle 40s, with highs reaching the middle to upper 60s inland around Santa Rosa and the upper 50s to lower 60s right along the coast. High clouds are streaming overhead, but we stay mostly dry today.
Heads up for the coast: a Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect through the weekend for Bayshore and Pacific Coast spots at high tide. Moderate coastal flooding is possible at high tide today through Sunday — low shoreline roads and lots could see some water, especially Saturday afternoon.
Saturday turns unsettled. Light rain spreads north into the Bay Area later Saturday, with just a few hundredths expected in favored coastal spots and sprinkles inland for us. Drizzle or light rain could start during trick-or-treat hours, with the best chance overnight. There's also a low chance — less than 10% — of thunderstorms, so a little boom boom and flashy flashy isn't completely off the table.
Sunday and Monday clear out with inland highs back in the middle to upper 60s. Rain chances return Tuesday or Wednesday and linger late next week, but timing is still uncertain.
Bottom line: dry and pleasant today, watch coastal high tides, and keep an umbrella handy for Saturday night.

What: Up to 1.9 ft of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.
Where: Bay Shoreline locations of San Pablo Bay, San Francisco Bay, and Monterey Bay.
When: Until 6 PM PDT Sunday.
Impacts: High tides will result in flooding of low-lying infrastructure, isolated road closures, and coastal erosion. Rising tides will bring water and waves farther up the beach than normal, restricting escape from beaches and coastal areas. More substantial impacts are expected along bayshore Marin County where increased flooding is anticipated across low lying areas.
Additional Details: At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide is expected to be 1.9 ft above normal (7.7 ft MLLW) at 02:39 PM Friday 10/30, 1.5 feet above normal (7.3 ft MLLW) at 03:44 PM on Saturday 10/31, and 1.0 ft above normal (6.8 ft MLLW) on Sunday 11/01 at 3:59 PM. These predictions include up to 1.5 ft of surge that will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding threat. High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively.
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
